Common area remodel
This luxury high-rise condominium overlooks a vast nature preserve and the Gulf of Mexico located in the prestigious Pelican Bay community of Naples, Florida. The homeowner’s association is very social and hosts many events throughout the season. Their current social room had become very outdated and did not function well for their needs. The new design creates four zones within the 35’x35’ space located off the main lobby atrium. The zones host the following functions: television and movie viewing, quiet corner conversation, table dining of dancing, and food preparation, display and communal dining.
The food preparation/ display and communal dining is served by a 25’ long kitchen counter with base storage cabinets below. A 5’ wide by 5’ long cantilevered countertop and a custom built 4’x8’ dining table in total can seat twenty-eight. This area is visually enhanced with a backlit crystal stone wall and floating walnut ceiling canopy with hidden lighting. The “quiet corner” is positioned at the wrap around corner window with two love seats, two side chairs and large coffee table. The television/ movie viewing are has sixclub chairs and coffee table sitting on an area rug and focusing on the large panel monitor within a walnut surround. There is also a recessed hospitality counter for beverages. This very elegantly modern space now serves this community’s social needs and is the focal point of their common areas/
