The project goals for the homeowners of this waterfront 3 bedroom/ 2 bath residence included: a new master bath and closet suite, one additional study/ bedroom, expanding the living area with a vaulted ceiling, a new entry porch to create curb appeal, relocating the kitchen to create an open plan kitchen/ dining area, and the relocation of the laundry room. The expanded living area now fully spans from new front porch to rear lanai with uninterrupted water views. The new open kitchen/ dining area is adjacent to the expansive living area and simply screened by a passthrough with cabinetry. The addition of a new master bath and closet allowed for the previous bath area to be repurposed as a study/ bedroom. The new upturned roof with wood ceiling at the new entry porch creates a strong visual element at the roadside elevation.
